Frequently Asked Questions

Where is my data stored?

All your data is stored locally on your Windows PC in an embedded SQLite database. Your task data is not sent to the cloud. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Can I export my data?

Yes. Go to File > Export > Export CSV to save your tasks, projects, areas, and task metadata. Taskspect uses the Windows file picker. Timebox blocks are not included.

Can I import tasks from another app?

Taskspect™ supports CSV import via File > Import > Import CSV. The import wizard lets you map columns and preview before importing.

What are the system requirements?

Taskspect™ supports Windows 11 on x64 PCs.

Does Taskspect require an account or internet connection?

No. Taskspect does not require an account, and its core task management features work without an internet connection.

How do I show a task count on the Windows taskbar icon?

Open Settings and choose a Taskbar Badge option under Appearance. Taskspect can show counts for Today, Inbox, Today + Inbox, Overdue, or Today + Overdue. Choose Off to remove the badge. This feature is available in the installed Windows version of Taskspect.

What should I do if the Windows app opens to a blank window?

Taskspect uses the Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime, which is already installed on most supported Windows PCs. If Windows asks to install or update WebView2, allow it to finish, restart Taskspect, and contact support if the problem continues.

The Windows interface is too large or too small. How do I adjust it?

Open Settings and use the UI scale control under Appearance. You can also use View > Zoom In, View > Zoom Out, or View > Actual Size. The corresponding Windows shortcuts are Ctrl+=, Ctrl+-, and Ctrl+0.

Is Taskspect™ free?

Taskspect™ is coming soon. Pricing will be announced before launch.
